Local Dancers To Perform In South Bend I 1 v Connie Menges (left) and Laurie Hershberger rehearse their original dance, which they will perform at Southold Dance Theatre’s "Experidance" May 20 and 21. They’re coming back! Originally from Walkerton, Laurie Hershberger and Connie Menges began collaborative efforts at the tender ages of two. However, their formal dance training began much later with Southold Dance Theater, South Bend. For years, Southold has brought to Michiana audiences guest artists from all over the United States. 1994 marks their 20th anniversary season for which Hershberger and Menges will be returning. Now professional dancers based in New York City, both received their BFA degrees from the State University of New York at Purchase. As a result of their dancing, they have travelled and performed internationally. They will be travelling back to South Bend to premier a new work that explores momentum and intention. Hershberger and Menges wni be performing at Southold’s Experidance, May 20, 7:00 and 9:UU p.m. and May 21, 7:00 p.m. at the Colfax Cultural Center, 914 Lincolnway West.
