The classmates of Tyner High School from 1941 through 1944 will be meeting Friday, May 6, at the Holiday Inn, Plymouth, to recapture and remember their high school days. Most will attend the Tyner Alumni on Saturday, May 7, at the Tyner Community Building. LOCAL STUDENT INDUCTED INTO FRESHMAN HONOR SOCIETY Trisha Bottorff, daughter of Kathy McKesson. Walkerton, has been inducted into Valparaiso University’s chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta the freshman national honor society. Trisha is enrolled in the College of Nursing. Alpha Lambda Deitz is an honor society that recognizes high scholastic achievement of students during their first year of college. They must earn a 3.5/4.0 grade point average during the first or second semester of their freshman year.

The Society, established in 1924, has 211 chapters throughout the United States. Valparaiso University, located in Indiana 55 miles southwest of Chicago, was founded in 1859 and purchased in 1925 by The Lutheran University Association. It is a na-tionally-recognized institution of higher education, serving approximately 3,500 students annually through its Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, and Nursing, Christ (honors) College, School of Law, and Graduate and Evening Divisions.
