JOHN GLENN SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES (continued from Page 4) estimated at 10%, bring the total cost of all three projects to $7,860,616. H. Roger Umbaugh, Umbaugh Associates, presented a financial report containing estimated total project cost and estimated tax rat^ impact. Financing cost of the project brings the total cost to $19,003,500 of which the school corporation funds of $1,493,500 will be used, leaving $7,510,000 to be funded through a bond issue. The bond issue would be amortized over a 15 year period with maximum annual payment being $806,512 for principal and interest. The projected additional tax rate per SIOO of assessed valuation will be 99 cents. The projected total tax rate for all funds is estimated to be $5.75 which is 86 cents lower than the 1991 tax rate for John Glenn School Corporation. I. Mr. McKee summarized the proposal with the following statements: The proposal provides for the educational programming needs of John Glenn School Corporation 7th and Bth graders. The proposal cost is less than a new stand alone or an additional to John Glenn High School. The proposal accomodates 7th and Bth grade students in a school separate from grades 9-12. Jhe proposal makes use of Urey Middle School. The proposal meets the Corporation middle school needs and allows funds to address the John Glenn High School outdoor physical education and athletic facilities and Corporation administrative office needs. The proposal is a good blend of the complex educational and financial issues associated with this project. A complete copy of the proposal is on file in the administrative office. 11.
