dents in grade 3-6 about traveling in pioneer days. The students had made covered wagons in stations after a simulation on traveling to Oregon in pioneer days. She told a story about a family traveling from Pennsylvania to Indiana. In the story she told how hard it was to go over hills, through rivers and to battle the lands just to get to a short destination. We divided into groups to decide what we would
need and what we would not need to take on a trip in a covered wagon. While in these groups, she showed us a few covered wagons that Tri Kappa had made. The wagons consisted mainly of miniature belongings of a standard pioneer family. One of these little pieces of furniture was a grandfather clock that the baby might sleep in to save space.
