projects including architectural and design fees is $7,749,616. The school will pay $1,432,700 from school funds leaving a balance of $6,316,916 to be funded through the issuing of a bond. Following questions by Board members and public, the School Board agreed to meet on Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. in the John Glenn High School in a special Board meeting for the purpose of giving further consideration to the proposal presented. The proposed plan is on file in the superintendent's office and is available to members of the community. After some discussion, it was decided that attorney Holmes will research how annexation would affect the cemetery properties. Holmes advised that the Council can do the first reading of the ordinance to annex the 34 acres for LaPorte Metal, and later amend it to include any or all of the other properties. Walt Heil made the motion to do the first reading of Ordinance No. 1994-03, Annexation Ordinance in short form. Seconded by Len Jaske. Carried. Gene Reese made the motion to accept the first reading. Seconded by Gordon Hartsell. Carried. David Behr reported on the sewer project. He said that Wight-man-Petrie has sent the Environmental Report to' Farmers Home Administration, and they just need a figure for legal fees in order to finish the construction budget. Once Behr has the final budget figures he will be able to determine the dollar amount on our grant request. Behr has gotten information on South Bend's Revolving Loan Fund and is turning it over to the committee, appointed at the last meeting to help them form guidelines for our fund. Behr asked if the Council had made any decision about the contract with the Industrial Fund. President Rizek replied that they have not yet had the chance to discuss the contract or make any changes, but will do so in the near future. CITIZEN S INPUT: Roger Holston said that he had contacted Triax Cable about getting cable service to his apartments on Harrison Street and was told that they can’t afford to do it. Holston asked if we have a contract with Triax to provide service to residents. Attorney Holmes is going to check the terms of our agreement with Triax, and advised Hol-

NEW BUSINESS: Attorney Holmes gave the Council a declaratory resolution for tax abatement at Premdor. Resolution No. 1994-A, For Purposes of a Five Year Personal Property Tax Abatement and a Ten Year Real Property Tax Abatement for Predor was accepted on a motion by Gene Reese. Seconded by Gordon Hartsell. Carried. The Council discussed a 20' wide easement for Premdor. Gene Reese made the motion to accept the easement. Seconded by Gordon Hartsell. Carried. Cheryl Rizek told the Council that she had gotten a call from North Liberty asking if we could send someone over to their water plant to dig a hole for them, so that they can set an electric pole. Walt Heil made the motion to allow. Seconded by Len Jaske. Carried.
