The meeting will start at 9:30 preceeded by a fellowship time at 9:00 a.m. We will meet at the Walkerton Community Building at the corner of Washington and Ohio Streets. Debbie is the wife of Pastor Russell Payne. They are currently pastoring the Blissville Church of the Brethren. Since being involved in the ministry, as a pastor’s wife, she has served with Russell in three states, Virginia, Tennessee and Indiana. In her ministry she has helped to develop youth programs, has been a camp counselor to youth, taught Sunday School classes, Women’s Fellowships. She is a licensed Lay Speaker in the Church of the Brethren, District Christian Education Committee member and has directed and written Christmas plays, choir director, and Worship Leader. She has helped plan and direct Youth Rallies. Debbie has also worked in a CPA office. She is working part time at present. She has worked as a church secretary, mnanaged and assistant manager of a retail carpet and custom shop, interior decorating and ceramic design specialist, and also worked as Circuit Secretary, plant worker, cashier and substitute teacher. Debbie will be sharing a special message the Lord has laid on her heart for the Body of Christ. Come prayed up and ready to receive. REVIVAL MEETINGS AT NORTH LIBERTY MENNONITE CHURCH There will be Revival Meetings at the North Liberty Mennonite Church, starting Monday, March 21, through Sunday, March 27, each evening at 7:30 p.m. except Sunday evening, when services start at 7:00 p.m. Evangelist Eli Yoder, of Long Island Virginia, will be the speaker. Prayer services will be held one half hour prior to the main service each evening. Everyone is invited.

OBITUARIES

HILLARD LINCOLN SONS Hillard Lincoln Sons, 68, of 718 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in the Starke Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born February 12, 1926, in Athens Alabama and had lived in Walkerton for five and-a-half years. On November 16, 1955, in Knox, he married Delorace Fletcher, who survives. Mr. Sons was retired from the Ford Motor Co. at Chicago Heights, Illinois as a press operator, and was the owner of the Starlite Bar in Walkerton. He was a veterans of World War II serving in the Army and was a member of the Knox American Legion Post 131. Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda Sons and Susan Sons, both of Walkerton; three sons, Roger Sons and Garence Sons, of Walkerton, and Jerry Sons, of Knox; one step-daughter, Sharon Vires, of Oregon; a step-son, Herman Vires, of Kentucky; five grandchildren; three sisters, Eleanor Gark of LaPorte, Barbara Chambers of Wanatah, and Eloise Little of Russellville, Alabama; and one brother, Hershal Sons of Hebron. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lord Jesus Christ Church, Knox, with Rev. Geta Falgreen offieating. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery, Toto, where the Knox American Legion Post 131 will conduct military services. Friends may call at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 6:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the Church.

On Sunday my children, Judy and Randy Bryson, Pat and Bob Tomb, Paula and Roger Hazen and Jim and Paula Drake gave me a wonderful 80th birthday party. Friends and relatives came from far and near. Gladys Sheneman read a poem about being 80 years old and my family provided music which is a tradition when we get together. It always ends singing “How Great Thou Art”. Food and birthday

The pinochle winner on Thursday were: first, Cheryl Rizek, 672; second, Donna Sherland and Doris DePoy, tied with 635; fourth, Virginia Anhold 625. THE TOWN OF WALKERTON IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SIDEWALK FUNDS The Walkerton Town Council is accepting sidewalk applications, for work to be done this spring and summer. $5,000.00 of Local Road A Street money has been set aside for the installation of new sidewalks, on a matching funds basis. The Town will pay half the cost, and the individual must pay the other half. The matching funds program is strictly for residential sidewalks. New sidewalks, where there are none, and applications with the earliest date will be given first priority. The matching funds program does not include sidewalks up to or around homes or driveways. Applications can be filled out at the Gerk-Treasurer’s office from now through April 8, 1994. All applications will be reivewed by, and acted on by the Town Council. The i Town Council also reserves the I right to make all final decisions in I choosing those sidewalks to be ' done. 6tm3l
