Alice E. Conrad and James B. Meyer were united in marriage in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church September 25, 1993. Rev. Charles Wavely officiated. Alice is the daughter of Evelyn Eckstein, Walkerton, and the late Jake Conrad. James is the son of Rosalyn Meyer, Marthasville, Missouri, and the late Theodore Meyer. The bride was given in mar riage by an unde. Vickie Chodzinski, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sally Fox, Linda Walker, Anne Brinzea, all of South Bend, and Karen Daumer, Bremen, all friends of the bride. Kimberly Johnson, of South Bend, served as flower girl. George Roe, Chicago, Illinois, a friend of the groom, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Thomas Flynn, Washington, D.C., Scott King, Gary, Ind., Joseph McGovern and Gregory Tonner, both of Chicago, all friends of the groom. Ushers were Randy and Kurt Glidehaus, nephews of the groom, of Marthasville, Mo. The bride is a graduate of John Glenn High School and Ancilla Domini College. A reception was held following the ceremony at Celebrations Unlimited, Inc., Mishawaka with music provided by Rum Boogie. The couple took a wedding trip via a Carribean cruise. They are now at home in Miller Beach, Indiana. A rehearsal dinner was held at Reggio's in Mishawaka.

IVA M. MOON Iva M. Moon, 99, of Transitional Health Services of South Bend, formerly of North Liberty, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the nursing home. She was born September 2, 1894, in Liberty Township and was a lifelong area resident. An April 19, 1919, in North Liberty, as Iva Bates, she married Jesse Howard Moon, who died August 31, 1979. Mrs. Moon was a member of the North Liberty Church of the Brethren. Surviving are four daughters, Opal Summers of North Liberty, Maxine Bjoraas of South Bend, Myrna Wells of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Marcella Morris of Lady Lake, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sarah Bates of Goshen. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, with Rev. Ron Mummert officiating. Burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping I Hand Fund of the North Liberty 0 Church of the Brethren.

KENDRA J. WERNER Kendra J. Werner, daugher of Jill Awald and James Werner, of 11021 E. Iroquois St., (Koontz Lake) Walkerton, died shortly after birth in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Private graveside services were held Wednesday in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements. FRANCES ELLEN FREET Frances Ellen Freet, 75, of Plymouth, formerly of Grovertown, died at 6:50 a^m. Saturday of natural causes in St. Joseph Hospital of Marshall County. Mrs. Freet was born August 30, 1918, in Marshall County. On November 7, 1939, in Knox, she married Venus Freet, who passed away October 11, 1980. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Gemons of Tipton, Indiana, Dorothy Anderson of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Karen Eckhart of Elkhart; four sons, Robert and Donald, both of Grovertown, Jerry of San Antonio and Wayne of Elkhart; 21 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; four sisters, Fem Bollman of Florida, Dorothy Grizzle of Dalton, Georgia, Mamie Hartman of Nappanee and Mary Lou Holt of Decatur; and two brothers, Elmer Leiter of Rensselaer and William Leiter of Florida. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Plymouth.
