Please remember the Powers family. Ray and Pat Carbiener are enjoying time in Florida in the Tampa area, Avon Park, Okeechobee, Ocala and Palm Coast. The temperatures are in the 80s. They spent one day at Crescent Beach on the Gulf coast. They will meet their daughter, Jill and family, in Orlando. Dick and Evelyn Croy, of Lakeville are his grandparents. Did you read the article in Sunday's South Bend Tribune about the 200 buzzards in Stafford, Virginia that attacks ducks, cats, dogs and even horses. Well, I have heard we now have coyotes in our area. I have seen some wild turkeys, but 1 hope I never see any of those buzzards flying around North Liberty. How about you? Well, would you believe February is almost gone and as 1 look out my window the ice and snow is all gone. I can see neighbor kids, ten in all, riding their bikes, playing basketball in shorts and some roller skating. I guess spring must be here with our 60 degree temperatures. Congratulations and best wishes goes to Joan Freeman and Jon Fricker, of Elkhart, who were married on Saturday, February 5 at the French Lick Resort. Roger and Jackie Albright, of Lakeville, where their attendants and they all attended the Gold Wing Rally of a motorcycle club while there in southern Indiana. How many of you happen to see the article Susan Groves wrote about me and my quilting in last Tuesday's Plymouth Pilot. As many of you already know I have quilted since I was a young girl. I just took a quilt out which will go to Chicago and I have never met the person. Would you believe 1 received a note from our state senator, Kent Adams, congratulating me. Yes, I love to quilt and will as long as I keep my good eyesight and can use my hands. Remember 1 have a quilt show at the nursing home on Friday, April 8. Plan now to bring a quilt and come join the fellowship and make new friends. So happy to report that Eric Springman returned home from the hospital last Tuesday but he does have to go back everyday for therapy. Helen McEndafer entertained her family on Sunday.
