Congratulations to Roy and Peggy Clark who are the proud grandparents of Sydney Michelle Brancaleon, daughter of Paul and Tina Gark, of Cassopolis, Michigan. Philip Patrick entertained in his home Sunday afternoon with a birthday party for his mother, Nell Patrick of Walkerton. Others present were Skeet and Carol Buettner and son, of LaPorte, Gene and Norma Patrick, Tammy Stull and son Brandon and daughter Jamie and Gladys Sheneman. Snacks along with birthday cake and ice cream was enjoyed by all. Nell received many lovely gifts. The over the hill gang members of the Church of Christ all enjoyed dinner together Sunday after church at the Round-The-Gock Restaurant in LaPorte. Many of you readers will remember George and Marie Hively who use to live in the park area and then moved south of Road 6 on Tamarack. Marie is a patient in Memorial Hospital so please remember her. Eric Springman who was severely burned at work last week is a patient in St. Joseph Medical Center and is reported to be slowly improving but he still needs all our prayers and a get well card, so

please remember him. I was informed that Gene Springman suffered a heart attack last week in Orlando, Florida. Please remember him, he is in Florida Medical Center Hospital, Room 5260 , 601 East Rollins, Orlando, Florida 32803. Janet Stombaugh is celebrating her birthday on the 20th of February in Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton. 1 would like to have a card shower on her as she is always so thoughtful, loving and has a smile for everyone. So please take time and drop her a line for her birthday. Received word that the TynerTeegarden reunion will be held on Saturday, February 19 at the Community Building in Lorida, Florida. Micky McCombs is president and Betty Geible is the secretary. So get in touch with them right away if you are planning on going. If you like bluebirds, plan now to attend the work day on Saturday, February 26 at Potato Creek State Park. You can help prepare the park's 76 bluebird nesting boxes for spring. Meet at the Nature Center at 9:00 a.m. Bring pliers and screwdriver and a sack lunch. Also at 2:00 p.m. there will be a two hour workshop. A little bird told me that the sock hop for parents and their children was a huge success. The P.T.A. sponsored the event at the North Liberty Elementary School on Saturday evening. A lot of parents and their children really enjoyed the chicken dance, the hokey pokey, the limbo and all the other fun things. It was a family fun evening. Charles Myers of Teegarden and Gladys Sheneman entertained the residents at Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, for Valentine's Day on Monday afternoon. A special attraction was the crowning of the king and queen who were voted on and chosen by the residents for this 1994 year. They chose Ed and

Minnie Wilhelm, who have been married for 66 years. They were married in 1927 when he was 27 and she was 18. They are to be congratulated. Anna Seagraves, who was chosen queen for the John Glenn homecoming basketball season came and crowned the king and queen. Contests were enjoyed with Marie Gingenpeel and Anna Seagraves winning the most perfect heart contest. Lillian Hlavacek won a big jar of candy for guessing the right amount. Mary Jo dressed up for "Ain’t She Sweet.’’ Refreshments of Valentine cookies and punch were served and it was a fun afternoon. Pearl Newcomb entertained the following neighbors last Tuesday afternoon. They were Iva Pommert, Gladys Sheneman, Martha McCrosky, Mae McDaniel and Mary Morey and granddaughter, Holly. Lovely refreshments were served before returning home. Edna Kerchaert called me Sunday morning from Florida to tell me the North Liberty-Walkerton get together on Tuesday, February 8 was a huge success with 131 attending.
