CLAY DUMPS LADY FALCONS BY 47-35 SCORE The Lady Falcons of John Glenn turned in a lackluster performance at South Bend Cay Tuesday night, January 4, as they fell by a 47-35 score in a non conference basketball game. Just when coach Scott Hostetler thought his young team may be coming on they came out very flat and suffered a defeat to a team he felt was not as talented as his club. Clay jumped on the locals quickly in the first stanza using full court defensive pressure to cause the Falcons to commit numerous turnovers which led to easy scores for the hosts. The Colonials led 14-5 at the first stop and 27-11 at the intermission. Although the two teams battled on nearly even terms in the second half the damage had already been done. Glenn trailed 40-22 at the start of the final eight-minute segment. The locals were led in scoring by Tracey Legge, Renee Fisher and Dara Cisney with six points each. Arika Brett netted 19 first half points and finished with 21 to pace the winners. Glenn is now 4-7 on the campaign and Gay improves to 4-8.
