LADY FALCONS FALL TO TOUGH COUGARS 47-39 Glenn's Lady Falcons dropped a hard fought Northern State Conference basketball contest to the powerful and talented New Prairie Cougars by a 47-39 count Wednesday night in the Falcons’ Aerie. The Cougars came to town sporting a six game winning streak and extended it to seven with only two early season losses as blemishes on their record. The visitors are 3-2 in league play. Glenn on the other hand suffered its fourth loss in as many games in conference play and dropped to 4-6 on the year. Although they did not win, the

scrappy Falcons gave it all they had which was just not enough against a much more talented and senior dominated club. The locals got off to another rocky and slow start as they fell behind 12-4 at the first stop. Coach Scott Hosatetler's charges behind Tracey Legge's eight markers regained their composure in the second frame and chopped the deficit to five at the intermission, 24-19. The Falcons led by Legge and Dara Cisney charged back in the fourth to close the gap to only four, 41-37, with less than three minutes left. However, that was as close as the home team could get. Legge finished the night with 15 points to take game scoring honors and also hauled down 13 rebounds. Cisney added 12 tallies, which included one trey, to the black attack. Suzanne Smith led the visitors with 14 points. The Falcons hit on 18 of 56 shots from the field while the Cougar girls dumped in 17 of 48 attempts. The locals only went to the charity stripe four times in the entire contest and made two. New Prairie stood at the line 16 times, canning 11. Glenn did out rebound their opponents 31-27. The local team does not return to action again until Tuesday night,
