Jessie and Joan Grenert, Paul and Kate Doerr, Mae and Earl Warner were Saturday evening dinner guests of Stan and Mary Schlemmer for their annual corned beef and cabbage get-together. They all had a good time. Dorothy Naragon was a Saturday dinner guest of Eric and Eva Snyder, in River Park. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Shoue visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Naragon and family on Saturday in Columbia City. his son Matt, of Elkhart, spent i Sunday with Dorothy Na r agon on Riley Road. Seventeen senior citizens of the Church of Christ enjoyed dinner together at Miller's Restaurant, in New Carlisle, after the morning worship service. Gene and Norma Patrick and Brandon Stull were dinner guests on Monday of Gladys Sheneman. Marie White, of South Bend, called in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Pearle Lappin returned home from Florida on Thursday after spending the winter. They spent a month with their daughter, Janeice Sherrick, at Ft. Lauderdale. They called on Florence Garwood and attended the North Liberty reunion in Sebring. Pearle also went fishing at Fort Myers. Richard and Ruth Roush just returned from a six week stay in Florida. While there they attended the Walkerton-North Liberty family get together at Sebring and also visited many other relatives and friends. They spent a week with Darrell Roush, in Orlando, Florida, while his wife, Dorothy, was in the hospital for test due to a hart condition. Glad to report she is back home doing fine. So many of our North Liberty people are now returning home and it seems when they get back, then we get our worst weather. 1 wonder why. 1 received a note from Doug Davis who also just returned home from Florida after enjoying a wonderful time with some of his good friends, namely Rev. and Mrs. Bobby Whitehead, Joan Collins, in Zephyhills, Florida. Anspaugh and family, in Plant City, and spent one day with Steven Wolff and his wife, Michelle, at Winter Garden, Florida. They were former North Liberty residents. He also enjoyed picking oranges and grapefruit and said they were delicious. He also attended a strawberry festival and tasted many strawberry treats and now he has to go on a diet. Thanks Doug, for thinking of me. The dining room at Miller’s Merry Manor was filled Wednesday afternoon with relatives and friends of the residents who came for the St. Patrick's Day program and birthday special for Jennie Wilson (100) and Reinhold Kapischke(lol). They were entertained by Madelyn Nelson and Gladys Sheneman, of North Liberty, and Charles Myers, of Teegarden. It was a fun afternoon with Florence Seekings winning the prize for having on six green things and Shirley Shaw wearing four. Many old popular songs were played and sung. Happy birthday was sung to Jenny Wilson by Gladys Sheneman as she had to sing in her ear for her to hear. Lovely refreshments of a beautiful green and white decorated birthday cake was served along with green punch. Jennie Wilson’s family came on Sunday to also help her celebrate her 100th birthday. Those present were her son Chuck Wilson, of Deßary, Florida. Her grandson, Joseph Young and daughter, Tracy and son, Greg, of Lakeville, Kathy Wilson, of Mishawaka, Ethel Wilson (85), of South Bend, nephew Jimmie Wilson and his wife, Ruth, from Mobile Alabama. Charles Wilson and his wife Maxine, Lee Ann Baldoni, of Griffith. All enjoyed being with Jennie on Sunday to help her celebrate her 100th birthday which was on Monday. March 15. She was on TV on her birthday.

JOHNSON TOWNSHIP HOMEMAKERS CONDUCT MEMORIAL FOR TWO Impressive memorial services were conducted for two lifetime residents of Johnson Township on Wednesday at the Community Building. They were Caroline Bierly and Ethel Bierly, who died recently. Alta Bowers Andrews conducted the memorial with prayer and verse and Neva Klinedinst provided piano music. Catherine Hostetler presided at the business meeting when she was re-elected to office. Also elected were Josephine Smith, vice-presi-dent; Annette Hesters, secretary; and Marty Malstaff, treasurer.
