Changes In J.G. School Bus Routes John Glenn School Corporation announces that some changes will take place in the following bus routes on Wednesday, March 17, 1993. The following bus routes will be involved in the changes: Buses *2. 3. 5. 7. 9. 16. 17. 19. 22 and 23. The bus routes are being adjusted to save miles and equalize the student load and mileage between buses. Students that will be transferring from one bus to another will receive a note from the driver explaining the change. Only a few students on these buses will be affected by the changes. If you have a question about a change in your child's bus route, please contact your bus driver.

Walkerton High Alumni Sets Date For June 26th The Walkerton High School Alumni Reunions will be held at the John Glenn High School cafeteria the 26th of June from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. This includes all classes to and including 1966. Because so many addresses in the card file are obsolete, please send me a list of names with recent addresses for each respective class from 1900 to and including 1966. St. Patrick School Registration Schedule Is Set St. Patrick School plans for its 47th school year. Beginning Monday, March 29, the school will take registration of children who will be returning to grades K-6 for the fall session. Parents may send registration forms to school with their children. New students to St. Patrick, for Nursery school or Kindergarten as well as in other grades will come to register on Thursday, May 6. Health forms and policies will be given to new families. Parents may register their children in the school office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Children registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by June 1. Children registering for Nursery school must be 4 years old by June 1. Parents must bring a birth certificate for the children they plan to register. Registration fee for new students is $15.00. Women Veterans Sought For Great Lakes Meet An effort is being made to locate all former women veterans to attend the Great Lakes Regional Conference June 12-13. Sea Services, WAVES, SPARS, Women Marines, Navy Women and Navy Nurses from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky will be present. Mailings were recently sent to as many of these former veterans as possible with a very good response, according to Janice Conlon, Indiana State Director of Waves, National, in charge of making local arrangements. Michiana Tidal Waves Unit 63 of Waves National is hosting the event says Unit president Virginia Olson of 4202 Norton Dr., South Bend. Plans are being made to entertain several hundred guests and their spouses here in the Golden Dome City. Although guests will begin arriving Friday, June 11, registration will be Saturday, June 12. The conference will conclude following the Sunday morning speaker June 13. Michiana Tidal Waves meet each third Saturday of the month at a designated area attraction. The next will be Saturday. March 20, at Morrow’s Restaurant, 2323 Mishawaka Ave., for an 11 o’clock lunch after which the women will tour Potawatomi Botanical Gardens and visit the Zoo. May 14 will be a boat trip on the Des Plaines River. Bus transportation will be available. Armed Forces Day May 15 will be another regular business meeting at Bob’s 19th Hole. Members will decorate a float and take part in the May 31 West Side Memorial Day Parade in South Bend. It is interesting to note that members of Michiana Tidal Waves include women veterans from WW II to Desert Storm. ST. JOSEPH CO. HOSPICE SUPPORT GROUPS Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc. is developing a grief support group for young widows and widowers (to age 45). The group is being designed to assist surviving spouses to work through grief and loss issues, and become a social organization.
