VOICE OF THE PEOPLE “This And That” First of all, I want to remind you, that if you need letters for your mailbox and wish to order them ! trom me. I need to know what you i need immediately. Available are letters and numbers two inches high. They are available in red. black or white. My phone number I is in the phone book. Have you cleaned out your mail I and paper box area? The carriers do not get paid for pushing snow. Last week, I slid into a mailbox that | hadn’t been cleared. There was a I rut in the ice under the snow. The I box had been securly bolted to an * ironpost cemented into the ground. 1 The box or post didn't give, by my I car did. There are regulations for I installing boxes. Please make sure | that these are installed legally. Most towns have ordinances for j keeping sidewalks clean and acces- ■ sible. Does Walkerton? I have had several people tell me ■ that the side streets coming onto I U.S. 6 are hard to enter because of 1 larger vehicles parked on 6. There I used to be a ruling discouraging I trucks and van parking within a 1 certain area of the corners. still in effect? If it is, may be the police should be enforcing this regulation. You voters will shortly be receiving a questionnaire from the John Glenn School Corporation. Answer it and get it back quickly. This stalemate on school building has been going on for much too long. Everyone has to work together to fmd a solution. Just remember School Board, it is important to listen to what the citizens have to say, whether you agree with it or not. I. myself, am getting rather disgusted with all of the bickering and arguing going on about what to do. I understand that the school corporation is going to buy portable classrooms from Plymouth. Are these rooms heated? Do they have restrooms? Where will they be placed? Come on School Board give us some answers. It is very hard to understand what is going on by attending board meetings. So much of your meetings are by number. Sometimes questions are politely answered by the board, sometimes not. I had better get my mailbox area cleaned out. Sincerely, Nedra Williams UREY WRESTLERS TOP THE LA VILLE LANCERS The Urey wrestlers “steamrolled” the LaVille Lancers on Thursday night by a score of 85-27.
