LaPaz Church of God. Pastor Lewis Thomas performed the dou-ble-ring candlelight ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Mary Boise, organist, and Erin Curtiss, pianist. Vocalists were Sharon Hewett of Farmington Hills, Michigan, friend of the bride; John Hostrawser, Walkerton, father of the groom, and Landis Skaggs, Mishawaka, friend of the couple. The bride, given in marriage by her father, Ernest Zartman, wore a floor-length gown of peau de soie. It was designed with a fitted V-neck bodice and Victorian sleeves. accented the gown, which fell into a full-length cathedral train. A bouffant veil accented with pearls fell from a headpiece of roses and pearls. The bride’s bouquet contained white roses, gardenias, astermaria, and baby’s breath accented with trailing ivy and pearls. Maid of honor was Jennifer Downey, of Lakeville, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Paige Balka, LaPaz; Debbie Shively, Bourbon; and Sharon Hewett, Farmington Hills. Michigan, all friends of the bride; and Christine Zartman, Argos, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride’s attendants wore matching floor-length emerald green velvet dresses. Each attendant carried a brass candleholder which contained white roses, baby’s breath and ivy. The best man was Pete Hostrawser, Walkerton, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brent Hostrawser, Walkerton, brother of the groom; Daryl and Michael Zartman. of Plymouth, brothers of the bride; and Jim Shively, Bourbon, friend of the groom. Ushers wre Roger Dittmar and Scott Reese, Walkerton; Dave Rupel, North Liberty; and Jon Hershberger, Bremen, all friends of the groom. The flower girl was Jillian Emmons, Granger, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Trenton Rippy, Plymouth, cousin of the bride; and Jeffrey Miller, Valparaiso, cousin of the groom. A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Plymouth with approximately 250 attending. Servers were Leila Emmons, Plymouth, an aunt of the bride; Debbie Rippy, Plymouth, cousin of the bride; and Jennifer Vales, Mishawaka, and Ann Keltz, Plymouth, friends of the bride. Elementary Education. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hostrawser, 101 Hickory, Walkerton. He also is a graduate of John Glenn High and will graduate in May with a degree in Elementary Education from Bethel College. For their wedding trip, the couple took a cruise to the Bahamas and Walt Disney World, in Florida. They now reside at Irish Hills, in South Bend. AREA STUDENTS ON FOUNDER’S DAY LIST AT INDIANA UNIVERSITY Several area students were on the Founder's Day List at Indiana University for academic excellence for Semester 1, 1992-93. Students must earn at least a 3.5 gradepoint average from a possible 4.0 in a minimum of 12 hours or course work. They will be honored at this year's traditional Founder’s Day ceremony to be held Sunday, March 7, on the Bloomington campus.
