AIR SAMARITAN TEAM VISITS AREA

On August 27th, a C.P.R. Class was presented by Jean Brownlee and Jeff Stonebumer. Six people were certified in course C, C.P.R., which includes Adult, Child and Infant C.P.R. and Heimlick Maneuver. C.P.R. is such a simple procedure to learn, but will keep vital organs of the body alive until the emergency team gets to the scene. We urge everyone, especially those with friends or a family member with heart trouble, to learn C.P.R. On August 30th, the Parkview Samaritan Flight Team of Parkview Memorial Hospital, in Fort Wayne, flew into Stuntz & Hochstetler’s ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS KOONTZ LAKE LIBRARY Monday & Thursday 7:00 p.m. WALKERTON COMMUNITY BUILDING Sunday 7:00 p.m. For Further Information CALL 586-3243 or 586-2504 |V?tl

i Pine Forest and presented a very ; interesting and educational pro- ■ gram to 35-40 emergency workers including Ambulance, Fire and Police. On behalf of Walkerton E.M.S., we would like to thank everyone who took the time to attend, and also to congratulate Gayton Davis on winning a chance to fly an emergency run with Samaritan. We are all a little bit envious of you Gayton but also happy you won, you surely deserve it. A very special thank you goes to Dan Aavang, pilot of Samaritan, Vickie Meyer, Samaritan flight nurse, Andy Gilbert, Samaritan flight paramedic, for taking time from their busy lives to teach us about patient care in the air. It was very interesting and also a great comfort to know you are only minutes away if we ever need you. Thank you so much. We would also like to thank Jeff Stoneburner for his efforts in making this program possible and last but certainly not least, a great big thank you to Wyman (Hoppy) and Maryin Hochstetler for allowing the Samaritan to land and providing us with a room for our program. Just one of

the many things Hoppy and Maryin do for our community. \ \ ' . f "IMHIMta , Later on in the evening of August 30, Jeff Stoneburner graduated his paramedic class.
