For the Urey team Yvonne Schmletz had 4 points, Lindsay O’Connor 3 points, and Gina Robbins 7, points, the top server. They played Mishawaka Bieger on Monday night and lost by scores of 15-5 and 15-9. The top server was Jina Robbins. The first home match will be Thursday night versus LaPorte Kesling. P.W.P. GIRLS 7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL The Urey 7th grade volleyball girls played a tough match against South Central Tuesday afternoon. The girls were defeated in three games with scores of 11-15, 16-14, and 11-15 respectively. Holly Legg served up 10 points for the match and Share Oke contributed 6 service points for the match. The 7th grade Falcons will face Mishawaka Bieger Monday at home. Come and show your support. UREY Sth GRADE FOOTBALL VICTORY The Urey Bth grade evened their record at 1-1 with a 8-0 victory over a tough LaPorte Kesling. Scoring for the Falcons were Dale Groves on a 55 yard run and Ed Pontius on a 2 yard run. Playing well offensively for the Falcons were Andy Brinkoff, Joe Adkins and Jason Cisney. Playing well for the defense that shut out LaPorte Kesling were Nick Beckham, Corey Filson, Jeremy Lawton, Scott Hall and Jake McPhail, who also recovered a fumble. Coach Groves and Coach Davis were really impressed with the total team effort that the players exhibited. TIGER CUB PROGRAM AND SIGNUP IN WALKERTON First grade boys interested in joining Cub Scouts as Tiger Cubs are invited to bring their parents and attend a meeting on Monday, September 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Walkerton Community Building. The meeting is sponsored by Cub Scout Pack 293 of Walkerton. The Boy Scout District Executive will be present to explain the program and help sign up boys and their parents. Kyle weighed seven pounds, seven ounces and was 20‘/i inches long. He has two brothers at home, Justin and Cory.
