Carrie Beth Shock and David Wayne Hille were united in marriage in a three o’clock ceremony in the Bethany Lutheran Church, LaPorte, on Saturday, July 18. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Dennis H. Meyer. Curtis Passafume, organist, provided the music. Carrie is the daughter of Patricia and Richard Shock, of Boston, Massachusetts and Sharon and Dale Hille, North Liberty, are parents of the groom. Serving the bride as maid of honor was Eugenia Rolla, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Catherine DeMars, friend of the bride. Kimberlee Shock, sister of the bride, and Maureen Creager, friend of the bride. Jennifer Dailey, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Best man for Mr. Hille was Joseph Capek, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Joseph Hille, brother of the groom, Richard Shock, Jr., brother of the bride, and Troy Holland, friend of the groom. Ushers were John Creager, Bruce Mercer and David Fugate, all friends of the couple. Joshua Logerwell, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. Lisa Capek and Lori Holland, friends of the couple, were greeters. A honeymoon trip to Aruba was taken by the couple who are now at home at 4218 Fellows Street, South Bend. Mrs. Hille is a manager at Jeremiah Sweeney's Restaurant and Mr. Hille is mechanical engineer in Bremen. They were both 1991 graduates of Purdue University. When you come back to it, your hometown is where folks wonder how you ever got as far as you did.

Wendy and Mike Morris are the proud parents of a daughter boro August 4, 1992. Her name is Ellen Ann Marie. She weighed in at six pounds, five ounces and was 19*4 inches long. Her maternal grand parents are Al and Diana Heim Maternal great-grandparents are Ray and Maxine Shieber and George Richard Heim, all from North Liberty. Paternal grandparents are Carol and Bill Morris, of Plymouth. Ellen also has a brother, Lee Michael, at home. A son was born to Pat and John Linback, of Walkerton, on August 12. He weighed in at seven pounds, six ounces and is 20 inches in length. His name if Matthew James. He has two big brothers and a sister at home. They are Chris. Ryan and Elizabeth Linback. His maternal grandparents are Paul and Barbara Weaver, of Evansville, Indiana.
