OREGON-DAVIS CHEERLEADERS WIN 3 TROPHIES AT CAMP Mt aw ™ " ■ •»
The Oregon-Davis Junior High, Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleaders ail placed No. 1 at the ICF Cheerleading Camp at Purdue University, Lafayette. The camp was held from July 21 to the 24. Each squad individually won first place in their division. The varsity also won the Spirit Stick. Jessica Wilson also won the Coog Award for the most spirited cheerleader of all. 7th & Bth Grade Girls Volleyball To Begin Aug. 25 Volleyball coaches Lisa Cox and Tracie Yoder have announced the first mandatory practice for Urey 7th and Bth grade girls will be held at Urey Middle School on Tuesday, August 25. Bth grade girls will practice 3:10 - 4:40 p.m. and 7th Grade girls will practice 4:15 • 5:45 p.m. All girls must have a completed athletic physical before participating. “Maintenance free" really means that when it breaks, it can't be fixed.
J.G. High School 1992-93 Ticket Policy Announced John Glenn High School has announced its all-sports pass, season ticket, and single game ticket prices for the 1992-93 athletic seasons. The all-sports pass for adults is $35.00 and $25.00 for students. Football season tickets are priced at SIO.OO for adults and $6.00 for students. The all-sports passes and football season tickets will be available at John Glenn High School beginning Monday, August 10th. They will also be available for purchase at the first home varsity football game against Jimtown on Friday, September 11. Boys basketball season tickets will be priced at $20.00 for adults and $14.00 for students. Tournament games are not included in the season ticket and all-sports pass prices. Single game ticket prices for football and boys basketball will be $3.00 for both adults and students. Tickets for volleyball, junior varsity football, girls basketball, wrestling, freshman basketball, baseball and track will be priced at $2.00 for adults and SI.OO for students. Senior citizens residing in the John Glenn School Corporation are eligible for a complimentary allsports pass to all home athletic events except tournaments. To qualify, persons must be 65 years of age or older and must receive their ticket in person at the John Glenn Athletic Office. 2tal3 BRYAN VERKLER PLACES FOURTH IN SHOT PUT AT NATIONAL JR. OLYMPICS Bryan Verkier, of Walkerton, placed fourth in the shot put at the National Junior Olympics at Mt. San Antonio College, in Walnut, California. Bryan first had to qualify at the state level, then the regionals held in Indianapolis. Bryan also placed third in the White River Park State Games this summer. Bryan will be a junior at John Glenn. Randy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Verkier.

Football Jamboree Tickets On Sale Monday At Glenn Tickets for the 1992 varsity football Jamboree at Bremen on Friday, August 21st at 7:30 p.m. will be on sale at John Glenn High School. Beginning on Monday, August 10th and continuing until Friday, August 21st, the tickets will be on sale in the athletic office for $3.00 each. This is the first year tickets are being sold in advance. John Glenn fans are asked to purchase tickets in advance at the high school or from any member of the football or cheerleading squads. John Glenn receives 100% of the money from the advance sale of tickets. Support the football program and John Glenn High School by purchasing your Jamboree tickets in advance.

Athletic Physicals To Be Given To 7th & Bth Graders Athletic physical examinations are scheduled for boys and girls entering grades 7 and 8 on Thursday, August 13, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Urey Middle School. Any student planning to participate in any extra-curricular activity during the 1992-93 school year must have a completed physical form. Prior to the date of examination, physical forms may be picked up at the Urey Middle School office. Students must bring their completed forms with them on August 13. All physical examinations should be completed by 11:00 a.m. The cost per student is $7.00. Please make checks payable to Urey Middle School.
