Wells, Chairman jl6 WARNING AGAINST TOO MUCH EXPOSURE TO THE SUN (HNN) — With summer upon us, many young men and women — especially women — will be out there, cooking under the sun to get that fashionable tan. Experts have respectedly warned against this practice, because it is the primary cause of malignant melanoma, a lethal cancer, but it doesn’t seem to mean a thing to your girls. Too much sun also permanently ages one’s skin. New research by dermatologists, supported by Procter & Gamble, found that a group of Tucson, Arizona women who had the most exposure to sun had the most facial wrinkling sagging and other skin damage. Untrained observers were asked to examine high-resolution photos and estimate the ages of the women. Those with a lot of sun exposure were estimated to be 10 years older than they actually were. (Journal/Am erican Academy of Dermatology - Nov. 91). If you spend too much time in the sun, you run the risk of melanoma, warns Health News Network, the news service of the Indiana Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons. A car that shifts manually has been estimated to get an average of two miles more per gallon of gas than a car with automatic shift. ^BLuFTaGOOn] ; Tropical Fish ;! j & Supplies J !; 102 H.
