Tri Kappa Awards Three Scholarships Zeta Pi Tri Kappa of North Liberty awarded three scholarships on Tuesday, May 12. They wish to thank everyone who supported their projects, that helped make these scholarships possible. Tim Pletcher, of Walkerton, was awarded a $500.00 scholarship. He will be attending Rose-Hulman in the fall, majoring in chemical engineering. Maintaining a 4.0 grade average, Tim has been active in sports and band. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Thespian Society, Academic Decathlon, Chess Club, Senior Board and French Cub. He also participated in Band-aid fundraiser for the John Glenn Marching Band. Tim is the son of Dirk and Kay Pletcher. Kriscinda Marks, of Tyner, was awarded a $250.00 scholarship. She’s also a member of National Fraternity of Student Musicians, Student Division of American College of Musicians and Piano Hobbyists of the World. Kriscinda is the daughter of Gayton and Sandra Marks. Dawn Keck, of Walkerton, was awarded a $250.00 scholarship.
She will attend Purdue University in the fall majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Dawn has been active on Yearbook Staff and Newspaper Staff, is a member of S.A.D.D., National Honor Society, Ecology Club, Spanish Club, Art Cub, Aerial Staff and winning first place in the Science Fair. She is also active in Community Choir, Youth Group and volunteers at the nursing home. Dawn is the daughter of Robert and Roberta Keck.
CARD OF THANKS
I want to thank all the people who voted for me and supported me in the John Glenn School Board election. Many people worked very hard for me. They spent endless hours on the telephone contacting people, and going door to door. Ron and Joni Baker, of New Castle, Indiana, had a daughter, Courtney Lynn, born May 17th. She weighed six pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. Grandparents are Nancy and Jerry Knowlton, North Liberty, and Barb and Al Baker, of Yorktown, Indiana. Great-grandmother is Pauline Knowlton. Courtney has a sister, Marie, at home.

N. L. CHURCH OF CHRIST NURSERY SCHOOL TAKING 1992-93 RESERVATIONS The North Liberty Church of Christ Nursery School is taking registrations for the 1992-93 school year.
