On Monday, April 27, the John Glenn F.F.A. Chapter held its annual awards banquet at the Walkerton American Legion Post. The meeting was started by president Mike Birk, followed with the invocation by Tim McCormick. Members and guests enjoyed a fine dinner prepared by the Legion Auxiliary. Indiana State F.F.A. officer Aaron Johnson was the keynote speaker. Leon Verhaeghe presented awards as follows: those receiving plaques were Mike Birk, Star Farmer; Tim McCormick, Poultry Production; T. J. Hurford, Fruit and Vegetable Production; and Jason Roush, Star Green hand. Mr. Verhaeghe also recognized the Dairy Judging Team for advancing on to state competition and Jason
