The ladies congratulated Liz Moreau for having bowled all 87 games of this past season, having the only perfect attendance and game participation record in the entire group. (Liz enjoys her game!) The high scratch game for the ladies was Alice Dipert’s 166, just topping Merle Bruesch’s 160. June Lind and Betty Ogle posted 142 scores, tying for third place. High handicap game was Dipert’s 231. Bruesch tallied a 214 game with Lind scoring 206. High series total was Bruesch’s 459 with Dipert’s 426 a distant second. These scores were the only two of the ladies above the 400 mark. The gents saw Jack Grimmett take “top honors" in all categories this week. His high scratch game of 201 was well above John Gark’s 183 and Marion Anderson’s 182 games. Grimmett’s 232 high handicap game just topped Gark’s 230 game. Willis McQueary was third with a 223 game total. High series total was Grimmett’s 515, well above Eli Sobat’s 479 and Anderson’s 478 totals. It is well noted that Jack Grimmett improved his average by 15 pins during the season. Jack has really “shaved" his handicap down this season. Congratulations, Jack! The Senior Bowlers wish to thank the management of the Walkerton Shady Lanes for another enjoyable season, for the coffee and cookies, and for patience and understanding
