The dinner will be prepared by the LaCrosse Lions Club and served from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Donations are adults (12 and over) at $6.50; children, ages 6-11, $4.00 at the door and pre-school-ers, $1.50 at the door and in house only. 2tal6p SENIOR CITIZENS BOWLING NEWS With just two more sessions left in their season, the Senior were making the pins fall and the lanes reverberated with shouts of encouragement to make all those spares. The ladies continued their close competition, posting some close scores in each category. High scratch game was Merle Bruesch’s
158, followed by Betty Ogle’s 150 and Esther DeVault’s 144 games. High handicap game was Bruesch’s 212, just topping Goldie Louzon’s 211 and Ogle’s 208. High series total was Bruesch’s 411. Ogle posted a 407 total, just five pins above DeVault’s 402. The ladies sure generate some close competition! The gents enjoyed a very good day with the high scratch game top three competitors posting 200 or above games. Bud Weinman's 209 led the way, with Ray DeValut scoring 205 and Mel Divine 200. Weinman's 243 high handicap game topped DeVault’s and Divine's tied 239, which was just one pin above John Clark’s 238 total. Frank Hecimovich’s 563 high series total was followed by Divine's 530 and DeVault’s 514 totals. A fine day of bowling for the gents. Just a reminder — the Senior Bowler's last session will be April 15th with a banquet planned to immediately follow the bowling on that date.
