HAROLD SHEARS Harold Sheaks, 90, of Indiana State Hospital, Logansport, formerly of Walkerton, passed away at 4:14 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He was bom on January 6, 1902, in Teegarden and lived in Logansport since 1923. He is survived by a sister, Inez Baird, of Flint, Michigan. Graveside services and burial were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in Barber Cemetery, Polk Township, Marshall County. The Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, was in charge of the arrangements. ROSE MARIE WALLER Rose Marie Waller, 57, of 3822 Glenview Drive, South Bend, passed away at 2:59 a.m., on Sunday, April 5, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. She was bom on January 5, 1935, in Niles and lived in South Bend for 20 years. On August 21, 1954, in Plymouth, as Rose Marie Jones, she married James R. Waller, who survives. She was a former teacher at Holy Cross Grade School and St. Patrick’s Grade School, Walkerton. Also surviving are three daughters, Shirley Cripps, Carmen Jun and Julie E. Schreiber, all of South Bend; a son, James W., of Elkhart; six grandchildren; her father, Chester Jones, of Michigan City; a sister, Linda Kuchik, of Michigan City; and two brothers, Donald Jones, of Valparaiso, and Ronald Jones, of LaPaz. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with burial in Highland Cemetry, South Bend. The Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. passed away on Tuesday, March 31, in Charleston hospital. He was bom on November 21, 1924, in Switzerland, Indiana to William C. Price and Mary Aline Raisor Price. He attended Switzerland schools and was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter and general contractor. Surviving are his wife, Mary Burkhead Price; three sons, Raymond C. Price, of Wando, South Carolina, David 1 Price, of Walkerton, and Michael D. Price, of Oceanside, California; six daughters, Patricia D. DiOrio, of Anaheim, California, Ramona L. Werner, of Mesa, Arizona, Shirley R. Papka, of Wando, South Carolina, Roberta S. Shainmann, of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Theresa J. Elkins, of Walkerton, and Tracy L. Davis, of Fort Wayne; 22 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; andd a sister, Seattas Pfister, of Huntington Beach, California. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 400, Fish Lake. OTILIE AHNER Otilie Ahner, 87, of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, at the nursing home. She was bom on February 28, 1905, in Badden, Germany. Surviving are three sons, Eugene Ahner, of Chicago, Hl., Raymond Ahner, of California, and Paul Ahner, of Tules, Oklahoma; a daughter, Elfrieda, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and five grandchildren. Doug and Sherman’s outfits are dedicated tourists. They stop at any and every attradion. We are a group of couples who formed Chapter K-2 of the Gold Wing Road Riders Assodation.
