The Friend Day program at the North Liberty United Methodist Church is designed to give all of our members an effective way to invite others to share with us in Christ. Each Sunday during Lent, sermons with focus on friendship: What is a Friend?; How to be a Friend; How to Bring Out the Best in Your Friend; andd How to be a Friend of God. Classrooms will be specially decorated. Also, Bible verses and quotes on friendship will be handed out, and special prayer bookmarkers will be available. Every member is encouraged to invite a new person to join them at church and Sunday school on Friend Day, April 5. Newcomers will receive name tags and welcome packets. Liberty Twp. Volunteer Fire Department recently added an equipment van and some new equipment to their department. The van use to be South Bend's Haz-Mat van. With the help of a verty concerned trustee and advisory board wanting to keep the department in "tip-top" shape, and the overwhelming support of the community through the firemen’s fund raisers, and a lot of hard work by the firemen, the community now has a very valuable peice of equipment.
