That is erroneous. Worldwide, 75 percent of people with AIDS got it through man/women sex, reports Health News Network. True, the majority of hetero-sexually-infected people are in the developing world, primarily Africa, and so far, only a small number of AIDS cases in North America and Europe, stemmed from heterosexual sex, but it is fast rising now. About 5,000 people every day, around the world, are infected. In the U.S. three percent of men and 34 percent of women got the AIDS virus from the opposite sex, says the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. Dr. Michael Merson, head of the AIDS program of the World Health Organization, says ‘'we’re not going to have a vaccine tomarrow.
