VARSITY DEFEATS MARIAN 43 - 36 The Falcon J.V. basketball team won their third game in a row defeating Marian last Friday evening 43 to 36. Glenn outscored Marian

in the second quarter 14 to 7 to take a four point halftime lead. Sharp fundamental basketball for four quarters kept the home team in control of the game throughout the contest. Russell Burch hit nine of his 14 shot attempts to lead all scorers with 18 points. Burch again led all rebounders with eight while Matt Elmore scored eight points and led in assists with four. Jason Fisher turned in a fine game adding 13 points and five steals. Allen Crutchfield and Ryan Wails combined for six more assists as this group worked very well together as a team on this night. The victory raised the J.V. record to 10 wins and five defeats. The Falcons will try to avenge an earlier defeat by LaV’ille in the BiCounty, travelling to the Lancer court for a 6:30 p.m. tipoff Friday, February 14. Glenn will host Plymouth the following night, February 15, for a 6:15 starting time.
