a. E.D.I.T. Mr. McKee reported that the Indiana Department of Education is starting to require that reports from the schools be transmitted electronically to the state department instead of by paper as in the past. This process will be of a time savings to the local corporation, but a greater benefit will be the ability to retrieve information back to the school. The technology in this system will allow us to compare each of our schools and our school corporation with other schools within the state. Mr. McKee reported that if February 17 is not used as a make-up day for students, then the scheduled in-service day will be changed to April 17. This change will allow for more appropriate plans to be made for in-servicing of teachers. NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting will be on February 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Walkerton Elementary School. ADJOURNMENT Board president Jean Ann Beem adjourned the meeting at 8:25 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION The executive session followed for the purpose of discussing potential initiation of litigation and job performance evaluation of individual employees. No other matters were discussed. The executive session ended at 10:30 p.m. Send a message with a happy ad. * 5" ~ SEAMLESS GUTTER-H^^ Z7 SOFFIT & FACIA K - VANDERHEYDEN H EA VESTROUGH SERVICE Call 288-7719 M*
