They will be visiting with their families here in Walkerton, February 6th thru 21st. Private Tuttle enlisted in the Army in January 1991, where he was stationed at Ft. SiU, Oklahoma, where he did his basic training. His initial entry training included drill and ceremony, first aid, rifle marksmanship, grenade and weapons training, tactical field training, etc. In March he went to Pt. Bliss, TX for advanced individual training in Vulcan air defense system. From there he went to Pt. Benning, Georgia for airborne paratrooper training and now he is stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado where he is assigned to the Ist Battalion 3rd Air Defense and he is working in the postal office on the base. Fleet Home Town News Center —Navy Seaman Recruit Thomas E. Barden, son of Edward and Valerie Barden of Rural Route 1, Walkerton, recently completed basic training at recruit training command, Orlando, Florida. During the cycle, recruits are taught general military subjects designed to prepare them for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 occupational fields. Studies include seamanship, dose-order drill, naval history and first aid. He joined the Navy in October 1991. Thanks to you... it works... tor ALL OF US
