FALCONS BOUNCE BACK WITH WIN AT NORTHWOOD The John Glenn Falcons bounced back on Saturday night from their tough loss at Knox, to win their eighth game of the season with a 77-63 victory over North Wood on the losers floor. This was the final tune-up before the very important meeting with LaVille Tuesday night in the Bi-County Tourney. The win boosted Glenn’s overall record to 8-3 for the season. The Falcons took the lead early and led all the way in this game as Kevin Stedman paced a good first quarter with 11 points to get the lead by a 22-16 score. He had five baskets, including one three-point-er. The second quarter was a much slower period scoring wise as the Falcons increased the lead to eight by halftime, 36-28, outscoring the host team by just two, 14-12. The third quarter ended any

doubts. The Panthers, who have had their share of problems in recent years and winners of only two games this year, fell behind as Glenn rode an 11 point third period by Toby Gardner, with Stedman getting another six, to move to a very comfortable 58-41 lead after three. North Wood did manage to trim the lead slightly in the fourth period, but only slightly as the Falcons coasted to the 77-63 final. Stedman ended the night with 20 points, getting nine baskets with the one three-pointer and one of two from the line. Sophomores Gardner and Jason Groves each totaled 17, Groves hitting five three-pointers in his total. For the losers. Bush finished the game with 17 and Evers and Hirschy hit double digits with 12 and 10 respectively. Toomey la Next The Falcons action coming up depends on how the Tuesday night game with LaVille turns out. If Glenn wins, they will advance to Friday night's action in the semi-

finals against the Bremen-New Prairie winner. Tuesday’s results are listed elsewhere in this edition.
