“BIG BIRD" TOOTHBRUSH BEING RECALLED Some children may have received a "Big Bird Sparklin’ Smile" battery operated toothbrush for Christmas. They were sold nationwide and altogether about 300,000 of them were sold. But they are being recalled and buyers are getting a refund from the manufacturer, Tyco Toys, Inc. The toothbrush uses four "AA" batteries. If one is inadvertently reversed the battery may rupture or leak. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that they could cause bum injuries. One adult is known to have suffered a serious eye burn. Persons who have one of these toothbrushes should mail it to Tyco Industries, Toothbrush Recall, 540 Glen Avenue, Moorestown, NJ.
