Adult Ed. Classes Being Offered At J. Glenn Schools Adult Education classed being offered at John Glenn School Corp, for the Spring semester. 1992 are as follows: Adult Basic education (GED) will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 at the John Glenn High School library beginning on January 13 for 13 weeks. There is no fee for this class. Adult recreation will be held at the North Liberty gym on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and it will begin on January 14 for 15 weeks and there is a $2.00 fee per time.

Aerobics/fitness will be held at the North Liberty MP gym on Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the first evening being January 20 and will run for eight weeks. There is a fee of । $3.00 per time. Introduction to computers will be held at Urey Middle School, Room 207, on Tuesdays with the first night January 14 and run for nine weeks from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. There is a $40.00 fee. Computers (Word Processing) will be held at Walkerton Elementary School on Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. beginning March 23 and run for eight weeks. There is a $40.00 fee. Computers (Data Base/Spread Sheets) will be held at the John Glenn High School computer room

on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. beginning January 13 and run for nine weeks. There is a $40.00 fee for this class. Parenting will be held at the John Glenn High School Home Ec room on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning on January 21 and run for six weeks. There is no fee for this class. Indoor fitness walking will be held at Walkerton Elementary School and North Liberty School on Monday-Friday, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Hand quilting, call Ruby Salyer at 784-2289 to register. Registration for adult classes may be made by mail, telephone or in person. To reserve your place in a class, you must attend the first class night and be prepared to pay any fee. Some classes will be limited to enrollment. Most classes require a minimum enrollment of 10 registered adults. Gasses with low enrollment will be canceled and only those who have reaistered will be called. No refunds after the first class. Deadline for class registrations is Wednesday, January 8, 1992. BMV Announces Customer Service Enhancements As of January 2, motorists are now able to charge driver's license, vehicle registration and titling fees on Visa or Master Card at all license branches, Gilbert L. Holmes, Commissioner for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) announced. Also, Holmes announced license branches will begin accepting applications from inpaired persons who need a handicapped parking placard, starting January 2. Holmes called BMWs credit card expansion a significant customer service breakthrough. “This is the first an Indiana agency will permit statewide credit card use for payment of fees.” Holmes said. BMV officials today signed an agreement of Star Financial Bank of Marion to provide credit card service. Previously, credit card service only was available at a limited number of license branches. Also, as 4 credit card transaction fee has been eliminated. “We anticipate that the elimination of transaction fees will spur more motorists to use credit cards to save a trip to the license branch by taking advantage of the BMV’s convenient mail-in registration service." Holmes said. Currently, 15 percent of motorists renew vehicle registration by mail. An estimated 40,000 persons with permanent and temporary physical impairments will be able to apply for parking placards at license branches. Previously, applications were handled by the
