NORTH LIBERTY NEWS Byh Gladys Sheneman Congratulations to Claudia Schalliol and Kim Stuber who were married on Saturday, December 21 at St. John's United Church of Christ, State Road 331, Woodland, Indiana. The reception was held at 6:00 o'clock in the evening at the Knights of Columbus Hall, South Ironwood Drive, for over 100 guests at a sit down dinner. Guy and Ruth Ann Rizek, Pam Craft and Gladys Sheneman attended. It was a beautiful wedding and thev will be living at 605 Sylvia Dr., North Liberty. Claudia's brother and sisters came from California, Denver. Colorado and Maryland to be present for the wedding and enjoy Christmas together. Gail and Mae McDaniel returned home Saturday evening after spending the holidays with their children and families and Fontelle McDaniel. Becky and DuWayne Burch had their children on Sunday evening, December 22, for dinner and to exchange gifts. Those present were Todd, Karen, Nathan and Eric Burch and Tom. Tracv and Tvler Duff. Gladys Sheneman entertained her family and new baby greatgranddaughter on Monday evening for dinner and a gift exchange. On Wednesday she accompanied Gene and Norma Patrick to the home of Skeet and Carol Buettner, in LaPorte, where the Patrick family enjoyed Christmas Day.

Don and Betty Hevel spent several days with his mother. Katie Hevel Christmas dinner guests were Al and Diana Heim. They enjoyed a call from Lane Hevel, who is with the Air Force in Madrid. Spain. Thursday afternoon Mable Zehner. Koontz Lake; Florence Harvey, of Plymouth; and Evelyn Newcom ber, of Kissimee. Florida, who is here visiting her family for the holidays, accompanied Gladys Sheneman out to Potato Creek State Park to the Nature Center where they enjoyed a film on the history and beauty during the four seasons of the year. They later enjoyed cake and ice cream before returning home. The family of Calvin and Gara Mae Kronk all gathered at the home of George and Wilda Henry for their dinner and Christmas exchange on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve dinner guests of Tracey. Tom and Tyler Duff were Bruce, Wendy, Carolyn and Marjorie Weber; Todd, Karen, Nathan and Eric Burch; and Becky and DuWayne Burch. A gift exchange was enjoyed by all. Pearl and Evelyn Lappin entertained their family on Christmas Day with 34 being present coming from Texas, North Carolina and Indiana. The Lappins recently returned home after spending some time with their daughter Alice, in San Jose, California. Jay and Kari Williams and son Evan, of Crete, Illinois, spent a few days with her parents, Travis and Joan Holmes and son Michael. Please remember our sick as Lola Pavey is in Plymouth Hospital, i Theda Carlson, a former resident, is ill in her home in South Bend. Madeline Bonham remains in Memorial Hospital. Cecil Schmeltz was admitted to Michiana Hospital । on Sunday. Others ill are Edith Fisher, George Jackson, Ethel i Rauen as these friends all need our prayers. Also please remember Marie Kinas' family in her loss and Her mana BrinkhofTs family at this time as her funeral will be New Year’s Day. They were both great ladies and will be greatly missed by all their friends and loved ones in the North Liberty area. Christmas gifts were exchanged after dinner and Santa was good to everyone. Congratulations to Evelyn Stevenson. who celebrated her 90th birthday December 26th. Remember how she used to play the piano over at the Nursing Home every week for the residents. They miss her and all who knew her, but we all want to wish you a Happy Birthday Evelyn if we are late and best wishes in 1992. Mrs. Mar get Finch and Mrs. Ruth Finch traveled to Niles, Michigan recently for an evening with four nephews and spouses for a Christmas get togther. Later a niece and her husband, of Bismark, North Dakota, dropped by. All had a bountiful meal and joyous evening together. On Saturday, December 28, Ray and Evelyn Stoneburner, of Plymouth; Susie Teter and son Kenny and friend Randa, of Mishawaka, were guests of Gladys Sheneman for their family get together and gift exchange. Hope you all did have a wonderful Christmas even though it came and went by so fast. I really did enjoy Christmas and especially with our new baby Jamie Jean, who joined our family on Friday, December 13th. That really gave us great joy. Our game winners were Enel Myers guessed the amount of change in the jar, Dorothy Reed, the point game, and Rev. James Stansell and Helen Hensley tied on the song title game.
