JAMES 0. FAIR, SR James 0. Fair, Sr., 70, of Sebring. Florida, formerly of North Liberty, passed away at 7:33 p.m., on Monday. August 12, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born on Feb. 27, 1921. in North Liberty and lived there his lifetime, going to Sebring four years ago. He married Glee M. Herbster, on Jan. 28. 1950. in Lakeville, who survives. He retired as the owner of Fair Oil Co.. Inc., of North Liberty. Also surviving are three daughters. Karen Ohning, of Huntington, Jame Goble, of Calville, WA and Carolyn Weddle, of Lakeville; six sons, Terry, of Nashville, TN. James. Jr., of Atlanta. TX, Philip, of St. Augustine, FL, Thomas, of North Liberty, John and Michael, both of Lakeville; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters. Bertha Bulla and Susan Howell, of North Lbierty and Betty Swem, of Galien, MI and three brothers. Larry and Fred, of North Liberty and William of Yuma, AZ. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the North

Liberty Church of Christ with Rev. James O. Fair, Jr. and Rev. Tim Goble, officiating. Burial will be in Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Liberty Church of Christ or St. Joseph County Heart Association. FRED C. WELLER Fred C. Weller. 72, of Rock Falls, lowa, passed away on Thursday, August 8, at home. He was born on March 13, 1919, in South Bend to Rolland and Fem (Awald) Weller. He attended school in Grovertown. He hauled milk for 32 years for Hermanson Brothers Carnation and Anderson Erickson before retiring in 1978. He married Lorraine Hansen, on September 7, 1940. in Plymouth. lowa. Surviving along with his wife are a son. Rolland Weller, of Rock Falls, Iowa; his mother, Fem Anderson, of Walkerton; one brother, Gilbert, of Rochester; and one sister, Betty Godfrey, of Lafayi ette. He was preceded in death by i his father and one sister.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Old Stone United Methodist Church, Rock Falls, lowa with Rev. Dennis McMillan, officiating. Burial was in the Rock Fails Cemetery. EVELYN M. FERGUSON Evelyn M. Ferguson, 84, of Route 5, Tippecanoe Street, Koontz Lake, passed away at 5:05 p.m., on Saturday at Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox, after an illness. She was bom on Sept. 29, 1906, in Chicago. She moved to Koontz Lake 28 years ago coming from Long Island, New York. On Nov. 20, 1925 she married Howard W. Ferguson, in Crown Point, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert, of Koontz Lake and a sister, Bessie Schnecke, of Chicago. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox. She was a member of the Walkerton Women's Community Club. In 18th-century England, eyeglasses were often worn purely as fashionable accessories, not as aids to vision.
