Well, I had to ask too, and its going to be August 16, 17 and 18th. Remember last year it was in September and it was originally the second week of August. Mark the dates on your calendar and pray that it won’t be so hot. Ted and Cindy Woolett entertained Sunday for their twin sons Rudy & Robbie who were celebrating their 6th birthday. A great time of fellowship was enjoyed by all out at the Church of Christ at the ice cream social Sunday evening after which all went to the sanctuary where Daybreak was in charge and sang a few songs before turning the program over to Kevin Kilburn & Co., of Mishawaka, who specializes in the advancement of gospel music. of Ethel Rauen were Evelyn Newcomer, from Florida; Howard and Elnore (Lawson) Wood, of Bermmerton, Washington, who are in North Liberty visiting relatives and friends; and Gladys Sheneman. All enjoyed tea and Ethel’s delicious sugar cookies. Phyllis Swihart attended her uncle Mark and Jane Thacker’s 50th wedding anniversary at their home in Argos on Sunday. Others present came from Louisiana, New York. Tennessee, California and the surrounding area. Music was furnished by members of her uncle Mark's band all down through the years that had played with him. North Liberty has lost two more senior citizens, Lily O’Connor, 94, of Sycamore Road, who passed away last Tuesday in Medco Center and Alto Holmes, Sr., 85, of 403 E. Rupel St., North Liberty. Our sympathy goes to both of these families. Sony I didn’t write much news this week as it’s just too hot and everyone is staying in and trying to keep cool . I and Aletha Croy went out to the beach at Potato Creek State Park Sunday afternoon thinking it would be cool, but it was so humid and hot that we didn’t stay long and here it is Monday and the temperature is 101 so it’s much worse today. I'm staying in, how about you?
