sisters. A buffet dinner was served later. Charles and Henrietta Whitmer spent Father’s Day at the home of their daughter, Donna Garwood and family, in LaPorte. Also present were Henry and Betty Whitmer, of Wabash. We were very fortunate last Saturday evening when a severe thunderstorm passed through our area and did a lot of damage at Warsaw and Plymouth. Although at 5:00 p.m. my electric went out along with the Holmes’ and Zimmerles’, first time for ages. I didn’t realize it takes electric to do most everything around the house. 1 couldn’t even open my garage door to go away. I lit my kerosene light when it got dark and I couldn’t see good enough to read, so I went to bed at 9:00 p.m. I was awakened at 2:00 a.m. with singing and laughing and I just couldn’t believe that anybody could be so happy at that time of the night. But I’ll tell you one thing, I was sure glad to have my electric turned back on and I’m going to appreciate it more from now on. I just hope that all you Fathers who read my North Liberty news did have a Happy Father’s Day. NORTH LIBERTY R.E.A.L. SERVICES NEWS The site honored all the men on Friday for Father’s Day.
