OLD TIMERS TOURNEY AT TRITON An Old Timers tournament of Marshall County’s best and brightest basketball stars will be held next week at the Triton High School gym. Twelve teams representing eight schools will square off in a single elimination tournament. Six schools are in each age bracket. Two games will be played each night with the championship games

They will play Monday, April 8, Wednesday, April 10 and April 12. The teams represented by 1970’s graduates are from Bremen, Plymouth, Argos, John Glenn. Triton and LaVille. They will play Tuesday, April 9, Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12. Tickets are $2.00 at the door. All games are held in the Triton

High School gym at 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Proceeds will be divided between the athletic departments of the participating schools. On Monday night, Argos will meet Madison and Triton will play LaVille. On Wednesday, the first game winner will play Mentone and the second game winner will play Glenn with these two winners advancing to the final game on Friday. On Tuesday night, Argos will meet Bremen in the first game and Triton and LaVille will square off in the second. On Thursday night, Plymouth will play the Argos-Bre-men winner and Glenn the TritonLa Ville winner with the two Thursday winners returning Friday night for the championship. Registration fees are $15.00 per person, or $25.00 per family. Registration may also be completed at the Farmer's State Bank in Walkerton during regular business hours. Age requirements are 5-7 years old for T-ball, 8-10 years old for minor league, and 11-13 years old for major league, before May 1. Try-outs for new players in the minor or major leagues will be on Sunday, April 21, starting at 1:00 p.m. for the minor league, and 3:00 p.m. for the major league.
