The program promotes early planning, provides a simplified approach to college planning, and offers a forum for questions and concerns of students and parents thinking about college. “Many times parents worry about the costs of college and wonder if their child’s grades are high enough for college admission,” says Terry L. Taylor. “High school juniors are concerned about how and when to choose a college, when to apply for admission, and should they visit college campuses.” Terry L. Taylor will be the program presenter. He has been a professional admission counselor since 1976, and he has worked for the University of Indianapolis, Adrian College, and the Defiance College. He is a member of the “Planning for College, and the Defiance College. He is a member of the “Planning for College” Speakers Bureau coordinated by the Ohio ACT Office, and he has presented this program to over 5,000 people in three states during the past four years. “The program will cover the reasons for attending college, how to choose a college, what to do on a campus visit, when to visit college campuses, when to apply for admission, what colleges look at for admission, and financing a college education,” says Taylor. “Handouts will be given to all participants, and a number of visual aids will be used during the program.” Come and join other students and parents as they learn of the college planning process. The program is free and open to the public. 55 Saves Lives
