NORTH LIBERTY NEWS By Gladys Sheneman Gene and Norma Patrick and Charles and lone Lloyd, of Fish Lake, returned home late Sunday evening after having spent the weekend in Kentucky. They stayed in Greensburg, Indiana, on Friday night and then drove to Covington, Kentucky where they took a cruise down the Ohio River, with the weather perfect. They also visited a lot of interesting places in Lexington and stopped Sunday in Nicholsville, KY, surprising the Lloyd's daughter, Jamie and her family. Please remember Chris Newcomb who works for American Door Co. in Walkerton, as he had the misfortune of crushing two vertebrae in his back as he was unloading doors, when they shifted and fell on him. He has to wear a back brace but he is back home from the hospital and was even in church Sunday, which was good news. Rev. Brian Henry and family, of

Ethel Rauen was a supper guest of Gladys Sheneman Saturday evening. after they had spent the afternoon in LaPorte, shopping. Congratulations goes to John Borton, son of James and Linda Borton, who made the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Ivy Tech. Jon Hanley, of Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, Inc. sent me a copy of the poem which I had published in memory of Claude, and he had it laminated for me. There was one mistake in the paper, it should have read Consolation instead of Consulation. I will put it in a lovely book, along with all my other memories, which Audie Manuel gave me when Claude passed away. So thanks, Jon, I had no idea you got the Independent News and read my articles. Pat Foresman just returned home after spending the past two weeks with her mother, Helen Law, in Denver, Colorado. Her mother had eye surgery while Pat was

A bridal shower was held Sunday at the Church of Christ family center for Sharon Miller, future bride of Randy Lemert. It was given by Sandy Tumbleson and Barbara Eastburn, aunts of the groom. There was about 40 guests present and a good time, along with refreshments was enjoyed by all.
