Stedman missed the front end once again However, he made up for that with a big steal in Warsaw’s front court at the SO second mark and O'Connor was then fouled and hit both ends this time Taylor was able to get one more basket but the Falcons hit three of four more free throws to end the scoring and they got that much wanted victory in the Regional. Nine of 13 free throws m the final quarter were very helpful in recording this victory. Warsaw scored first in the game as McKenzie hit a fastbreak lay-in but Huizenga got Glenn's first two baskets on a pair of lay-ins, one off a pass and one off a rebound for a 4-2 early lead. Glenn was able to only score one more basket in the next three minutes while Taylor, Szymanski and McKenzie hit from the floor and Szymanski added the second of a two shot foul for a 13-8 lead. But Gordon Mosson’s Falcons stormed right back with three baskets in the final 1:29 as Stedman hit two short jumpers and O’Connor beat the buzzer with a jumper for the 14-13 lead. The second quarter found Glenn opening their biggest lead of the game as they put in six baskets in the first 3:32 while the Tigers were getting five free throws and the Falcons led 26-18. Warsaw however, came back to within two with 1:12 left in the half before Glenn ended this quarter with another basket at the end by Kevin Winger to hold a 30-26 halftime lead. The Tigers seemed to take early control of play, getting five points in the first half minute to take a 31-30 lead, but the teams battled back and forth until the game was tied at 40 all to set up the brief five point spurt that broke the tie for the

Elliott had 10 points and Szymanski, with seven, was the onlyother Tiger to score. O’Connor led Glenn’s more balanced attack with 21 while Stedman and Huizenga were hitting 16 each. Both team shot very well from the free throw line with the Falcons hitting 15 of 20 for the game, missing four in the final quarter, while Warsaw scored on 25 of 29 freebees.
