LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE The Walkerton Town Council is accepting sidewalk applications, for work to be done next spring. Five thousand dollars of Local Road & Street money has been set aside for the installation of new sidewalks, on a matching funds basis. The Town will pay half the cost, and the individual must pay the other half. The matching funds program is strictly for residential sidewalks. New sidewalks, where there are none, and applications with the earliest date will be given first priority. Applications can be filled out at the Clerk-Treasurer’s office from now until next March. All applications will be reviewed by, and acted on by the Town Council. The Town Council also reserves the right to make all final decisions in choosing those sidewalks to be done. 4tf2B NOTICE Notice is hereby given that Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation has filed before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission a request for approval of the application of the Wholesale Power Cost Tracking procedures established by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in Cause No. 34614. This request is being made by reason of changes in Wabash Valley’s wholesale rates to its member REMCs. These changes in Wabash Valley's rates are a result of a request to return to a 100% pooling rates (which evenly distributes Wabash Valley’s total power cost among all members) and other rate design changes. This request, if approved by the IURC, would track the first of a two-step phase-in. The change in Wabash Valley’s rates is based solely on these changes in rate design. Ultimately, these changes have no effect on Wabash Valley’s total company revenues. This action will result in a decrease in the wholesale power cost tracker included in the rates charged by Kankakee Valley REMC. This decrease will result in a decrease to the consumers of Kankakee Valley REMC receiving service pursuant to the schedule of tariffs set forth in Appendix A on file at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission showing the revised schedules and the rates to the members which will be effective for the first practical consumption period following approval of such revised rates by the Indiana Utility Regulatory commission.
