GOURMET CLUB MEETS The Greater Walkerton Area Men's Gourmet Club held their January meeting at the home of Roger Orcutt. The host started the evening meal with shrimp dip and ham pinwheels followed by barley turtle vegetable soup and spinach salad. The main entree was Jaegerschnitzel served over egg noodles with home baked rolls and glazed carrots and peral onions for the vegetable. The dinner ended with banana split dessert. All this was complimented with Parducci White Zinfandel wine. After a lengthy discussion and at the request of Robert Kaiser, the members voted to place Mr. Kaiser on the club's inactive list. A new member, Mike Daube, was voted in. The February meeting will be held on February 18th at Dennis Jackson's home. GODINES ENLISTS Debbie L. Godines. daughter of Paul Godines, 705 Harrison St., Walkerton, enlisted in the United States Air Force's Delayed Enlistment Program recently, according to SSgt Dean A Corey an Air Force Recruiter located at 614 Andrew Ave.. LaPorte. Debbie is a 1986 graduate of Knox High School and is scheduled for enlistment in the regular Air Force on May 1, 1991. Upon graduation from the Air Force's six-week basic training course, she will receive technical training in the general aptitude area. She will be earning credit toward an Associate of Applied Science Degree through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic training and other Air Force technical schools.
