we hope they will come again and entertain. Thank you, Brenda and aaron. Joe Greyorek from the REAL Serices office in South Bend dropped by to wish us all Merry Christmas. Virgil Gwin chaired the program on Tuesday and Wednesday. We were all delegated to see and hear the nursery group from the Methodist Church school. They sang for us and the Christmas spirit shined from their bright little faces. We
thank these little ones and their dedicated teachers. Kris and Kringle appeared in the guise of Fred and Opal Bullinger, who spread their brand of Christmas cheer through their skits. Fred baked bread and the lucky winners were Nellie Smith, Ivy Tyge. and Rose Minter. Fred and Millie Daniels accompanied by Verice Walz at the piano, led us in carol singing. We especially enjoyed Millie’s solo "0 Holy Night”, it was beautiful. Due to the holidays, our site will be closed Monday and Tuesday, both the Christmas week and the New Years week. being shown to the public at 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, New Year’s Eve, at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren. A fast-paced, modern day allegory, akin to the familiar Bible story, "The Prodigal,” is a film produced by World Wide Pictures, which is the film organization of the Billy Graham’s Association. “The Prodigal” examines the gradual spiritual and emotional breakdown of an American family as each member strugles to find his or her own identity. The story revolves around a son caught in the web of drugs and sex, a confused and bewildered mother, and a single-minded, career-consumed father. There's even a brief appearance of Dr. Graham. The film’s producer, Ken Wales, has said, ”. . . the public's willingness to examine its own conscience will place (this film) on the 'must see list of family entertainment.” There will be no admission charged for this film, but a free will offering will be presented to meet expenses. Following the film, the congregation will be hosting a fellowship hour with refreshments. A 11:00 p.m. the congregation invites the public to join them in a time of worship to experience the entering into 1991. This service will center around a midnight Eucharist Service of Holy Communion.
