SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING NEWS Although the busy holiday shopping time has the senior bowlers extra busy, they took out time this week for fun and exercise The\ were rewarded bv enjoying some close fine competition! Anyw as, you can bet they enjoy their game! The ladies divided the "honors" this past week, with no one dominating the field. Merle Bruesch rolled the high scratch game of IbO. Jean Burden was just five pins down, tallying a 155 game, followed by Stephanie Kilarski's 149. High handicap game was Grace Pugsley's 230 total. Kilarski

placed second with 211 and Bruesch was third with 203. High series total of 410 was bowled by Mildred McKesson. Burden's 406 total was second and Norine Divine's 402 was third. With only eight pins separating the leaders, the competition continues to be intense! The gents enjoyed a very g<x>d day, with many good scores being made and more close competition enjoyed. High scratch game was 84 year old Robert Spillman's 240 game, followed by Harold Schweder's 218 and Jack Grimmett's 215 games. High handicap game was Spillman’s 278 total. Grimmett's was second with 252, just topping Harry Nowaczy's 250 game. High series total was rolled by Grimmett who had a nice 620 total. Spillman's 469 followed with Roman Brehm's 532 placing third. It was a fine day for the gents as there were

five series totals 500 or above! Remember, the seniors will bowl the day after Christmas. Come enjoy an afternoon of exercise and fun to round out your holiday activities, and, maybe, try out that new ball! REAL SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON One of the nicest Christmas parties was held at the Youth Building on Saturday evening. The tables were festive, decorated in red and green. The tree sparkled and Christmas showed in the people faces. The buffet was scrumptious and every kind of salad and vegetables was brought in pot luck style along with delicious pies and cakes. Two long tables had been set up and before long, another table had to be added to hold all the food. Violet Wolff and her musical partners, Maxine Worthington, Eva Dean Platz were on hand to provide the musical entertainment and we all joined in singing the traditional carols. Later dancing was enjoyed and there were even some polkas. Betty wishes to thank all who attended and especially those who stayed to help with the cleanup.
