Maybe it was “thoughts of sugar plums dancing in their heads’’, but be that as it may, there were some good scores posted. The ladies saw Liz Moreau, again, roll the high scratch game of 159 that just topped Jean Burden's 155 and Norine Divine's 150 games! High handicap game was Moreau's 224. Marge Buswell followed with a 213 game and Alice Dipert and Geri Fernald tied for third place with 207 games. Burden's 448 high series total was the only total above the 400 mark. Moreau’s 399 series total was next high. Despite lower scores, the camaraderie was just as high as usual as measured by the sounds of banter and laughter that was heard! The gents also enjoyed a day of fun and lots of exercise! Ray Devault's 204 high scratch game led the group. Mel Divine's 199 and Harold Schweder’s 191 games gave Ray a real challenge! Divine's 238 high handicap game topped Devault’s 226 and Roman Brehm’s 225 handicap games. Schweder’s 547 high series total beat Claude Nowakowski's 521 and Divine's 504 series totals. The “pressure’’ was on for the gents, as the scoring indicates! Each week there is at least two to four lines open for some senior bowler. If you are a senior. 60 years young, or more, you’re welcome to join the group. The weather may be blustery outside, but the lanes will be warm inside, the coffee will be hot, the cookies delicious, and the atmosphere friendly! Come try it, you could learn to like it! B-TEAM WINS 2 MORE CONTESTS LAST WEEK The John Glenn B-Team continued their success as they defeated both New Prairie and Westville last weekend. New Prairie fell 44-39 in a game that Glenn led all the way but couldn't shake free as the Cougars continued to hang close but not overtake the Falcons. Gardner led the Falcons with 17 while Flagg had 11 for the visitors from New Prairie. BOX SCORE Glenn (g ft fta p tp Elmore 1 0 0 4 2 Peterson 3 3 6 2 9 Snell 3 0 2 1 6 Gardner 5 7 9 2 17
