Employment and Training Services are offering the class to assist driver’s with reading deficiencies to prepare for and pass the commercial driver's license general knowledge and endorsement tests. Drivers will be tutored on areas of specific content for test preparation by instructors who are specifically qualified on literacy training. There will be other learning aids available for driver’s who are nonreaders such as video tapes and a true-false test.
"It is estimated that 25%-30% of Indiana drivers required to have a CDL lack the reading skills to prepare for the tests, that translates into approximately 45,000 Indiana drivers,” stated BMV Commissioner Gilbert L. Holmes, "We also urge drivers to continue their education through the Governor's Voluntary Action Program." The course will be held Saturday, December 1, at 8330 Craig Road, Suite 170, Indianpolis, Indiana, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The course is being offered free of charge for both tutoring and all curriculum materials. Additional courses will be offered throughout the state in January. ANNUAL MEETING The fourteenth annual Starke AL’S BAIT SHOP On State Road 23 Koontz Lake WE NOW HAVE BLOCK ICE AND 18 LB.
