Lafayette St., North Libert) “Tie The Season” The Christmas season is fast approaching! It is the season to be jolly and happy. In our rush to see that we buy the most expensive gift and the latest gimmick, we forget that Christmas is a spiritual birth day. It is the birthday of Jesus Christ, it is not Satunalia (a merry-making time in old Rome) It is a time to be with our families and rejoice in them and enjov them. It is a time to remember those w ho are less fortunate, a time to be loving and understanding. Thanksgiving was a great sue cess at the Williams’ residence We had our usual food and guests. Ernie and Hayward Stuntz, along with brother George Williams After the table was cleared and a few games of bingo were played we took a geography quiz that I had saved from a newspaper. Boy, do we forget! Maybe we’re just dumb. We found out that there are 52 countries in Africa and the> change almost daily. Do you remember the capita] of Delaware or Kentucky? We got about 5C percent correct. It was a team effort though. The Friday after Thanksgiving 1 had to cook for the working gang at the Stuntz-Hochstetler Pines and Christmas Shop. There I met up with the Band Boosters selling food to the customers. If you want t; spend a nice day, come on out and shop and look around. Along with Mahoney’s, the Christmas Shop and Stuntz Hochstetler Pines do a lot of far reaching advertising for the community. For this, we in the area should be thankful. It help^ put Walkerton on the map, in a positive way. The Community Pantry can ai ways use donations of food an household items. Veryl and Joh: Wathen can give you the inform; tion, just give them a call. Th Salvation Army soon will be ding-a tinging. I would rather give t them than waste my money o: school money makers right nov We just spent 13 dollars on tw items, one 8 oz. package of cand and a wall hanger. W’hat hap pened to the 500 Club that was t eliminate the constant flood of fun raisers? I always help out the Girl Scou' cookie sales because this is the only fund raiser. Well, I have griped enough L the week. Sincerb Nedra William The circulatory system of tt human body contams about 60 0; miles of blood vessels and cap lanes
