REAL SERVICES NEWS NORTH LIBERTY We had a grand turnout for our delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had plenty to eat. Madelyn Nelson provided us with piano selections which we always enjoy. We were all happy to see Jessie Brantley and glad she is feeling better. Also we are happy to have Betty and Ruth back after their trip to Hawaii. All of us were saddened at the death of Cecil Williams. He was one of the original gang when REAL Services was started here several years ago. On Wednesday, Dec. 5, we will have our “White Elephant and Goodie Auction,” so be sure and bring all your items. We hope more of you can join us for this as we always have a good time. A reminder that our Christmas dinner will be Friday, December 21 so mark this on your calendar and give us a call. SENIOR CITIZENS BOWLING NEWS With the Thanksgiving holiday near, a few of the seniors did not bowl this week. They missed being a part of some very fine competition and the oportunity to work off an additional pound or two in anticipation of putting them back on at the festive board of the season. The ladies really had a “shootout"! High scratch game of 184 by Norine Divine just topped Liz Moreau’s 183 and Merle Bruesch’s 181 games. High handicap game was Moreau's 249, with Divine's 238 and Bruesch’s 223 not far behind. High series total of 454 was second, followed by Moreau’s 414. That is fine competition! The gents were given a real

It may be the busy holiday season, but you need to unwind, have some fun, exercise, and relaxation. Join the seniors and accomplish all of the above each Wednesday afternoon at the Walkerton Shady Lanes. REAL SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the site was only ojjen for three days. We held our annual Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday and we felt as stuffed as the turkey. We also celebrated Nora Hahn’s 90th birthday and were happy to help honor her. Her daughter and three of her friends were guests and helped with the celebration. Virgil Gwin took charge of the program and gave a talk about the meaning of the Thanksgiving holiday. Hazel and Harold Schweder chaired on Monday and we all enjoyed Hazel’s poetry. Stan Schtmmering will play and sing for us on November 26 and Florence Seekings will come to entertain on December 3. Mr. and Mrs. Verle Haag sent apples for everyone and we really appreciated them, thanks so much for your thoughtfulness. Plans are underway for our Christmas party and we all are looking forward to it, it will be held
on Saturday, December 15, at the site. Our bake sale proceeds will pay for the meat and drink and the rest of the meal will be pot luck. We were happy to see Ervin Stuntz and know our prayers were answered and he is regaining his health. We’ll miss our snowbirds again this year and of course, we know their three best reasons for going to a warmer climate: they are January, February, and March. R.E.A.L. SERVICES NUTRITION PROGRAM N.L.
