To Distribute Surplus Food In Marshall Co. Surplus butter, flour, honey, and peanut butter will be distributed Thursday, December 6, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at various sites in Marshall County. Recipients are expected to utilize the distribution site nearest their home. Recipients are required to show identification, such as a welfare or food stamp card, or a driver's license, and bring a container in which to carry the food home. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION The third annual "Christmas Celebration" sponsored by the Community Churches Child Care, will be held Sunday evening, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, comer of Pine Road and Stanton. FALCONS LOSE TO PLYMOUTH The Urey Falcons dropped a hard fought game to the Plymouth Pilgrims 40-33. Leading the Falcons on scoring was Brian Lyle with 12, Jason Knepp and Steve Savoie each had 4. The Falcons rallied from a 10 point deficit to cut the lead to one behind the sharp shooting of guard Scott Robbins who hit 3-3 pointers in the 3rd quarter. p.m. Sunday, December 2 with the presentation of the Marion Stackhouse Memorial Scholarship Award and the Senator Richard Lugar Essay Awards. Also slated for Sunday evening is an address by John W. Kost, pastor, Trinity Lutheran Church, Valparaiso, with entertainment by the Indianapolis Children’s Choir. Monday afternoon will be filled with special-interest conferences featuring experts in various agricultural fields. Some of the topics for the afternoon sessions are: Ag-Research-What’s Over the Horizon, After the 1990 Election, The Changing World-A Positive Impact on Agriculture, Livestock Production, Wetlands-Who Has the Answer? and Improving Farmers' Image. Monday evening will conclude with a banquet and awards program. "Changes, Changes, Changes," is the title of the address Pearson will give and is the theme of this year's convention. "To stay ahead in today's constantly changing agricultural environment, farmers need to be better informed on issues, and that's what I hope we've been able to provide for this year’s convention," Pearson said.
